Born in the GCC

Built from the Trenches of Last-Mile Delivery

Hisbuu wasn't designed in a boardroom or dreamed up by consultants. It was born on the ground — from years of managing thousands of drivers, reconciling mountains of cash, and chasing proof-of-deposit screenshots on WhatsApp at midnight.

From operators who lived the problem,
for operators who solve it every day.

The Background

We Didn't Just Study the Problem — We Lived It

For over eight years, the team behind Hisbuu worked deep inside the operations of third-party logistics companies (3PLs) and delivery aggregators across the GCC. From Oman to Saudi Arabia, from Kuwait to the UAE — they managed fleets ranging from a handful of riders to thousands of drivers spread across multiple cities and delivery platforms.

They oversaw the delivery of more than 30 million last-mile orders, managing a workforce of over 5,000 drivers fulfilling orders for platforms like Talabat, Careem, and other regional delivery partners. It was demanding, fast-paced, and relentlessly operational work — the kind that leaves you with an intimate understanding of what breaks when a fleet scales.

"Every day was the same cycle: drivers collect cash, we chase deposit slips, someone misses a submission, numbers don't match, and the finance team spends hours in Excel trying to figure out where the money went."

The challenges were consistent regardless of company size or market. Cash-on-delivery orders meant drivers collected significant sums daily. Tracking those collections — matching them to bank deposits, verifying against partner platform reports, and resolving discrepancies — consumed enormous time and resources. Documents were exchanged over WhatsApp. Reconciliation happened in spreadsheets. Payroll was a monthly nightmare of manual calculations.

The Spark

A Simple Problem That Nobody Had Solved

The breaking point was deceptively simple: collecting cash amounts and proof of bank deposit from drivers. It sounds straightforward, but at scale, it becomes a logistical nightmare. Drivers forget to submit. Screenshots get lost in chat threads. Amounts don't match. There's no audit trail, no accountability, and no way to spot revenue leakage until it's too late.

Existing tools were either too generic — built for trucking or enterprise supply chains — or too basic, little more than glorified spreadsheets. Nothing addressed the specific, ground-level reality of managing a cash-heavy delivery fleet in the GCC market, where the operational dynamics, payment structures, and workforce challenges are fundamentally different from Western markets.

The team realized that the solution had to come from people who truly understood the problem. Not from a software company guessing at logistics workflows, but from operators who had personally dealt with every edge case — the driver who deposits to the wrong account, the missing submission on a Friday, the partner data that doesn't arrive until Tuesday.

The Pilot

25 Motorcycle Drivers Changed Everything

Rather than building in isolation, the team partnered with a small SME — a local delivery company operating with just 25 motorcycle drivers. It was the perfect proving ground: small enough to iterate quickly, real enough to validate every assumption.

The pilot focused on the core pain point: giving drivers a simple way to submit their daily cash collections and deposit proofs through their phones, while giving the operations team a dashboard to track, verify, and reconcile everything in real time. No more WhatsApp screenshots. No more missing submissions. No more end-of-month surprises.

100% Submission Rate

Within weeks, every driver was submitting daily reports through the platform — compared to constant follow-ups before.

Hours Saved Daily

Manual reconciliation time dropped from hours to minutes. The operations team could finally focus on growth instead of paperwork.

Zero Revenue Leakage

Every dirham collected was accounted for. Discrepancies were caught the same day, not weeks later during month-end close.

The results were immediate and undeniable. The small SME went from chaotic, WhatsApp-based operations to a structured, accountable system — practically overnight. But more importantly, the pilot revealed something bigger: this wasn't just a tool for tracking cash. It was the foundation for managing the entire driver lifecycle.

The Evolution

From a Tool to a Complete Platform

Having validated the core concept, the team set out to build something far more ambitious. Every operational challenge they had encountered over eight years of fleet management became a feature requirement. Every workaround they had built in Excel became a proper workflow. Every late-night reconciliation session became an automation opportunity.

Hisbuu evolved into a comprehensive driver operations platform — purpose-built for the realities of the GCC delivery market:

Complete KYC & Onboarding

Digital document management with expiry tracking and approval workflows — replacing filing cabinets and shared drives.

Dual Data Reconciliation

Automated comparison of partner platform data against driver submissions — catching every discrepancy instantly.

Automated Payout Cycles

Monthly payroll with adjustments, bonuses, and deductions calculated automatically — no more spreadsheet formulas.

Asset & Equipment Tracking

Manage uniforms, bags, and equipment assignments with status tracking — knowing exactly what's out and with whom.

Critically, Hisbuu was designed to be tailored to each operator's specific needs. Every delivery company runs differently — different partner platforms, different payment structures, different approval workflows, different reporting requirements. The platform adapts to the owner's way of working, not the other way around.

What Makes Hisbuu Different
